Quilt Alongs

Below you will find a step by step of how to complete a couple of quilts I have created using fat quarter (or FQ) size fabric pieces.    These were an on going blog spot series so the links to each of the steps are found below.

If you decide to follow along please post picture of your progress onto our  School of Crafts flickr page.

#1- Charming Minky Quilt: This quilt is a lap size quilt ( 44" x 49.5" ) made from 6 inch charm squares, soft minky backing fabric, and hand tied at the corners of each charm.  This is perfect for a beginning sewer.

Quilt #2: The Zig Zag (using half square triangles (hst)
This quilt is fun and still easy to piece together.  This is a great lap quilt!  This quilt will improve on your piecing skills as well as teach you how to do some modern straight line quilting.
