Summer Camp Update...

Summer 2020... cancelled

Boy has it been a crazy Spring here! We have been hunkering down staying home as much as possible crafting up a storm.  I hope everyone has been able to stay healthy and entertained during this strange time.
It’s great that things are starting to improve in our area with the containment of the spread of the virus.  This is allowing us to transition slowly to open back up.  Unfortunately, that doesn’t include camps and I think that is a good safety measure to keep up with.  The safety and health of campers is my main priority. All campers that have registered and paid will be fully refunded (with the the exception of PayPal fees).

Due to the cancellation of camps I have decided to sell some fabrics, notions and even sewing machines.  This way, hopefully, you can keep your sewing going, entertain yourself in a positive way and not completely be left with nothing.

Please click on the link below to see what I have available to sell.  If you would like to purchase something please just email me your list and I will send a Paypal invoice for payment.  From there I’ll get your package ready and make a contactless delivery to you (if you live in Arlington)or mail the package if it’s out of the county (shipping charges will apply).
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to write.
Hoping everyone stays happy and healthy!

Summer 2020 Plans

It may still be winter, but everyone is looking forward to Summer already!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful end to 2019.  Here at School of Crafts I have already been planning for the fun summer months!

This summer I am hosting camps in my home studio again since it went so well last year.    There is one change which I know isn't the best for all families...  I will only be teaching morning camps in 2020.  It has been a hard decision as I know sometimes having a full day option really helps for those who have to work around their own work schedules, but I have to work around my family's schedule as well and this was my solution without taking a whole summer off completely.  I hope many of you are still able to join me in a creative filled summer of sewing!

Time:
All camps this summer will run from 9am- Noon

Dates:
-June 29-July 3
-July 6- 10
- July 13-17

Just as last year, all camps will be independent study with a maximum of 5 campers per week.  This means much more individualized instruction for your kids! Each child will still have their own sewing machine to use and their own sewing space so there will be no waiting time.
After registering your child I will send you a confirmation email within 24 hours with payment information and a link to a questionnaire I would like for you to fill out with your child (or have your child fill out on their own).  This will help me plan and have appropriate fabrics and projects ready to go for them.

Cost:
$235 (same as last year)

Since all camps will be tailored to your child specifically, all camps will include all materials (sewing machine, fabric, thread, cutters, notions, etc). Students are always welcome to bring their own sewing machines in order to learn how to use it if they wish.  I will be taking the things they tell me in the questionnaire and do my best to make sure I purchase and have on hand all things they would need in order to learn what they wish to learn.

Location:
My home Studio

(very close to Madison Community Center to give you an idea of the neighborhood)

Age:
9 and up

Teacher/Student Ratio:
1:5

Registration:
Registration will begin at 7:30 am on Monday February 10th. The link below will go live at that time.

If you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to write me.
I am so excited for another year of sewing and crafting with your kids!
